Here at Core, it’s our mission to make real estate transactions seamless, fast, unique but most importantly safe. First and foremost, we want you to know that we will remain open and fully operational until instructed to close from government officials. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to take a moment to reach out to you directly with our updated protocols and safety measures that will be effective immediately. Our top priority is to protect our team, customers and clients the best way we can.


Important Notice About Government/Municipal Closures


  • We are doing everything in our power to close your real estate transactions but again, are limited in what we can control
  • As Title professionals, we work with various third parties and must comply with guidelines and operate amongst conflict
  • Please be advised that due to the closures of many municipalities, there may be a delay in obtaining the required inspections and certifications, e.g. the Certificate of Occupancy and Smoke Detector Certification
  • On a case by case basis we may require additional documentation to further protect you and avoid a delayed settlement

Settlements in our offices


  • Only REQUIRED signers are permitted to attend settlement, who will be separated at the settlement table
  • Sellers are required to sign prior to settlement to reduce traffic in our offices and settlement rooms (your Core processor will walk you through the appropriate steps to comply with this request)
  • If other parties do show up to closing, we will be keeping those non-essential individuals outside of the settlement room to be separated in our lobby

If you are calling to schedule a refinance


  • Please be advised that we will not permit any Core closer to enter a residence for their own safety
  • We will do our best to accommodate requests to conduct refinances in residences based on the willingness and availability of notary closers
  • We strongly recommend and advise scheduling refinances to be in our Core offices where we can monitor, control and enforce our sanitation policies, social distancing and other important health practices
  • Please be patient with our scheduling department as we are limited in what we can control but will make it our top priority to accommodate your requests

Updated Core Office Sanitation and Health Protocols


  • The coffee bar will be temporarily closed for sanitation and social distancing purposes
  • We discourage sign holding and gathering to take photos following settlement
  • Only pre-packaged food and snack options will be provided
  • Please FedEx or mail us your deposit checks, if you absolutely must drop off the check in person we will have designated bins in areas that comply with CDC social separation recommendations

Review Current Core Sanitation and Health Protocols


  • Cleaning high-touch surfaces more frequently with strong disinfectants
  • Using disinfecting wipes on settlement tables, chair armrests and any surfaces touched in the settlement rooms after every settlement
  • All pens used for settlement and in the office will be picked by the individual signing, used only by the individual and taken home or disposed of
  • Doors will be kept open to reduce handle touching
  • Increasing the number of hand sanitizing stations and bottles throughout our offices
  • Any team members exhibiting flu like symptoms or feeling sick will be required to stay home


We’ll continue to closely monitor updates and recommendations from public health authorities. We will implement additional measures if necessary.
